Calendar Art

I’m currently working on art for a 2006 calendar aimed at busy families. Here’s a sneak preview from the “September” page (click on the image to view a larger version). The blank area in the composition is where the name of the month will go. I’ll post more info when the calendars are finished and become available.

  1. Thanks Kirk. These were colored in Photoshop. I did flat paint-bucket fills, and then a shading with a basic paint brush set at 30 percent opacity and 30 percent flow.

  2. Well, that is funny. That is the way we color alot of stuff here at work. Funny how 30 opacity for adding in color and shade works so well.

Good job. At first glance, it looks like a painting. If I study it a little closer, I can see how you did it. – Kirk
